PLM Innovation Consulting

For consultancy support we can provide negotiated levels of support for any of the following options.

low cost - easy start PLM Feasibility Study

Low cost feasibility studies covering a defined scope of work and project duration. The outcome for this type of engagement is to help with decisions for PLM related business requirements. Sometimes an already installed PLM application is not bringing the expected benefits - we can quickly identify root cause issues and what needs to be done to bring about improvements.

PLM implementation phase

Full implementation engagement where the benefits of our PLM project expertise can be deployed to good effect. Engineering teams are often disillusioned by the decisions and feel isolated, remaining at best un-enthusiastic at worst uncooperative. Reliance and dependency for the PLM implementation is often placed with external PLM application vendor. resources. This can leave the company vulnerable,  especially if the vendor team do not necessarily understand the full business impact if they are unable to correctly and accurately define the scope of new PLM process and method requirements. This can mean downstream business areas intending to work within the PLM environment remain dis-connected. Inevitably mistakes are made and costly oversights emerge. During this phase we act as your insurance by working with the application developers and importantly the users to ensure all necessary requirements are captured.

We can project manage the PLM development and deployment through a series of staged gateways. Communication is key providing status reports and metrics via regular management reporting is essential.  To be effective, and credible PLM Innovation consultants must be adaptable and capable of multi-tasking whilst having gravitas and experience to deliver the project tasks. This is very important, especially when dealing with deep rooted technical issues. Experience is also a key factor for providing solutions in a pragmatic way, to resolve issues and move forward. Engagement and dialogue with end users is very important as we drive your PLM project to a successful implementation.

Agreed work packets for PLM post implementation support

When post deployment issues are encountered they need to be identified and resolved.  These issues cannot be ignored since they will affect the  success or failure of the PLM project. It requires hands on technical knowledge of the PLM application for engagement with users to solve operational issues and for follow on practical resolution work. If necessary we can provide follow up training to address specific problems. We can also provide on site or remote help desk and technical support at various levels, for example via a service level agreement.
